106 young people and 8 Leaders were able to attend this prestigious evening, out of 156/13. DC's proudly led their District contingents onto the stage, where they were presented with their Medallions by the Deputy Lieutenant for their Borough (Col Spate of Waltham Forest was represented by Tony Williams, a County Vice-President and a former County Chairman.

Jack Petchey himself presented the Leader Award Medallions. He then spoke, exhorting the young people to be very proud of their achievement, display their Certificates and be involved in the decision on how to spend the £200. He thanked the Leaders for their dedication and was pleased to see the diversity of plans on how to spend their £1,000.

The evening included an excerpt (The Finale) from the "Showstoppers" video, which was very well received.
